Welcome to the Australian Defence Staff (Washington) Internet site.
Defence representation in Washington covers all Defence policy issues, issues of a joint operational nature, specific Single Service matters of the three Services (Navy, Army and Air Force), and a broad range of acquisition, industry and science activities.
This site also provides links to a password protected area used to administer the 420 Australian Defence personnel stationed in North America and to the ADS(W) Intranet, which is restricted to Defence personnel located with the Embassy.
The ADS(W) mission is to promote Australia’s security interests.
